December 21st was a very special day for 40 families and their beautiful daughters at the Las Madrinas Debutante Ball.
Las Madrinas, one of the first affiliate groups of the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, honored each family for their dedication to philanthropic endeavors in the community by presenting their daughters at their annual ball. Over 975 family and friends gathered at the luxurious Beverly Hilton Hotel to celebrate this occasion.
The night started with a pre-ball cocktail party in the International Terrace for the debutantes, escorts, stags, and Las Madrinas members and a separate mingling area in the Beverly Hills Ballroom for all other guest with the melodic sounds of a live pianist. It sure began the night perfectly.
As cocktail hour began to wind down, guests were led into the International Ballroom and seated for dinner and the presenting of the debutantes. After the presentation concluded the debutantes were escorted to the dance floor to join their fathers for the first dance of the night, the traditional father/daughter waltz. As they floated seamlessly throughout the ballroom, their escorts waited anxiously with their white-gloved hands and perfect posture for their chance. After the whimsical dance, the nerves were unexistant, the Wayne Foster Orchestra was in full force, and the room was filled with ecstatic smiles!!
This evening was a night to remember and as they say: pictures are worth a thousand words…
